Developing a Global Mindset
Internationalization experts Pedro García from the University of Salamanca, Spain; Julián Orozco and Margarita López from the University of Caldas, Colombia; and Rosemery Hernández from the National University of Costa Rica, all members of the ERASMUS capacity-building project “Managing Internationalization through Regional Administrative and Academic Collaboration between Latin America and Europe (MIRACLE),” funded by the European Union, came together to share their experiences and best practices through the videoconference “How to Promote a Global Mindset,” coordinated by the Directorate of Internationalization and Cooperation of the State Distance University. The Internationalization Plan, prepared by the consortium with a five-year vision, was also presented. It includes a transversal, inclusive, sustainable, and quality-driven approach for HEIs in Latin America, promoting mobility, international cooperation, and curriculum internationalization through strategic alliances with Europe and other regions.
