Dialogue for the Internationalization of Higher Education
The 24-month project will be developed through five work packages that link strategic planning, data management and governance, fostering an international mindset, quality assurance and dissemination.
“The main purpose of the project is an ongoing dialogue between actors and processes that revolve around the internationalization of Higher Education and how it is the anchor for the strategic management of aspects such as the internationalization of the curriculum,” said Viviana López Ospina, coordinator of the Internationalization and Mobility Unit.
Learning for internationalization
In their first meeting in Manizales, Colombia, the participants developed methodologies that allowed them to learn about the state of the art of higher education in their institutions; in addition, conversations were held on information technologies for data management and governance applied to internationalization.
“The great challenges for the management of internationalization in higher education institutions are related to the management and governance of data that goes beyond the internationalization offices of universities, permeates different areas of the university, and the statistical culture and training in this type of organization is very important to obtain fruitful results in relation to the management and governance of data, said Daniel Osorio Barreto, coordinator of the Department of Administration and Economics and project leader.
