Miracle Erasmus Project

Universities from Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain and Slovakia are part of the consortium of higher education institutions that won the call for the Miracle project, funded by the European Union through Erasmus+. The University of Manizales is part of this project, which seeks to find the best routes for internationalization, both incoming and outgoing, through immersion activities, not only in languages or academic programs, but also in cultures and lifestyles.

This Tuesday, December 3, “Miracle” moves to the facilities of the UManizales for a work session of this project, which lasts for two years and has other local allies such as the Autonomous University of Manizales, Catholic University of Manizales, National University of Colombia, Manizales campus, and the University of Caldas.

“This project has several very interesting components. The first is the alliance with the Pan-European University in Slovakia, a country with which we have not traditionally had any relationship. This first collaboration opens the door to a new space for conversation, with new actors and other perspectives. The other is to improve quality assurance in higher education institutions in order to obtain better data, to train teachers in internalization processes and, of course, to offer students better tools,” explains Valeria González Duque, director of the Office of Interinstitutional and International Relations at the University of Manizales.

González Duque points out that with all the development of “Miracle”, a contribution is being made to the quality, modernization and responsiveness of higher education, with the collaboration of administrative staff between Latin America and Europe, to implement a model of data governance and knowledge management for quality assurance of internationalization processes, while strengthening capacities in administrative teams to improve their services, processes and procedures.
